HUNTER CRAB

Place is nice and open nicely decorated. We were seated out server took our order. I had one of the boiled bags I forgot the name something of hook? My husband had the two combo meal he picked the Flounder and fried oysters. Food was good. Service not so much!!! She never once came back to check on us, whe we finally got her attention to ask for a refill she said they run out of sweet tea... Didn't bother to offer anything else.... We got food boxes for our leftovers and asked for the check. I went to wash my hands there is no hot water anyways I come back out go back to the table to put my jacket and get my purse so we can go ( mind you my husband was at the table the whole time ) We get to the front and we are at the register paying for our food.... This lady practically comes around the corner running and see us there and she tells us we were supposed to pay her!! I checked her REAL quick.... She simmer down. Then she had the nerve to say " I am just glad you are honest people" Talk about stereotyping people I am Mexican and my husband is black. We own our own business we are not all dressed up because we are on the road working we just wanted a hot meal. Will not be back to this place. Maybe if you actually did your job people wouldn't run out on you. I didn't leave a tip and I don't feel bad about it. My first job was as a server and I love to tip above 20% anytime we eat and get good service.

I was pleasantly surprised by Hunter Crab as it was my first visit. I felt from the moment we walked in that we made the right choice because of the wonderful smell. Well the taste more than lived up to it and in fact it was the best catfish I've had in a while. I treated myself to some King Crab and was not disappointed. Everything about it was great and they even give you several seasoning and sauce options. Can't wait to go back.

First time eating here. We both had the steam bags of seafood. I had the 'Fresh off the hook' bag with garlic season butter and my husband had the 'Firecracker combo' with everything seasoning. It came with extra butter and we decided to get extra seasoning just in case! I had the medium heat but it was way milder than I thought it would be which was a good thing for me lol. The seafood gumbo and hushpuppies were really good too. Both were piping hot as in freshly cooked😀 I liked that they had a bar too! Overall we were pleased and will be back.

This was my first time at Hunter Crab, I cant wait to go again! This was a work function and we had a table full of women, our waiter was awesome. He was by himself and didnt miss a beat keeping our whole table happy. I had a fried shrimp basket- the shrimp was huge and soooo good! Appetizers were awesome too and the cheesecake..... Yummy!!

My birthday is today I came here for the 1st time to celebrate. Waited 45 minutes to be seated at my table then waited another 30 minutes for a server that never came. Not one person came to my table to offer to take my order or anything. I definitely don’t recommend! I left and went to Laughing Crab and was seated immediately no wait and my experience there was wonderful 🤗
